He Was Accused Of Making Anti Semitic Remarks Due To One Of His Videos
In one of his videos, he hired a couple of service providers on Fiverr who weren’t quite fluent in English and paid them to write anti-semitic slurs on a board and have it displayed on camera. The guys who were doing the gig had no idea what that request actually meant and went ahead with the order. Needless to say, that gig got them a permanent ban from Fiverr.
PewDiePie has maintained that he did that as a joke while he was filling the details on the Fiverr profile and didn’t think those Fiverr guys would actually go ahead with it. He assumed that his request would be rejected.
Even PewDiePie Had To Suffer The Consequences For His Actions
He had an active deal with Disney but he was let go after Disney deemed him unfit to work with due to his numerous slip-ups.
“Normalisation Of White Supremacy”
The petition to remove Felix from youtube was started by Maria Ruiz who claimed that PewDiePie was normalizing white supremacy on the popular internet platform just after the New Zealand mosque shooter said the words ” Remember lads, Subscribe to PewDiePie ” before he went on to kill 50 people live on Facebook. Till now, the petition has reached over sixty-eight thousand signatures.
Felix Has Condemned The Shooter’s Actions In His Tweet –
Felix was quite upset after news came out about the misuse of his name. It has to be noted that due to the recent PewDiePie vs T series subscriber war, the phrase “Subscribe to PewDiePie” has become a viral internet meme.
“Just heard news of the devastating reports from New Zealand Christchurch. I feel absolutely sickened having my name uttered by this person.
“My heart and thoughts go out to the victims, families, and everyone affected by this tragedy.”
