For those who don’t know who he is, PewDiePie is the alias of Swedish youtuber Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg who shot to fame due to his let’s play\u00a0 and reaction videos. He currently has 92,948,819 (and steadily climbing) subscribers. He plays video games and does other goofy things such as YLYL (You Laugh You Lose) challenges on his channel.<\/p>\n

PewDiePie has had his fair share of controversies in the last three-four years due to his various edgy jokes which have offended a considerable amount of people.<\/p>\n

Due to his comments, he has been accused of being an antisemite and most recently, a white supremacist.<\/p>\n

The PewDiePie controversies began most notably when he said the n-word during a live stream. Needless to say, he received a lot of backlash for that.<\/p>\n

He Was Accused Of Making Anti Semitic Remarks Due To One Of His Videos<\/strong><\/p>\n

In one of his videos, he hired a couple of service providers on Fiverr who weren’t quite fluent in English and paid them to write anti-semitic slurs on a board and have it displayed on camera. The guys who were doing the gig had no idea what that request actually meant and went ahead with the order. Needless to say, that gig got them a permanent ban from Fiverr.<\/p>\n

PewDiePie has maintained that he did that as a joke while he was filling the details on the Fiverr profile and didn’t think those Fiverr guys would actually go ahead with it. He assumed that his request would be rejected.<\/p>\n

The petition to remove Felix from youtube was started by Maria Ruiz who claimed that PewDiePie was normalizing white supremacy on the popular internet platform just after the New Zealand mosque shooter said the words ” Remember lads, Subscribe to PewDiePie ” before he went on to kill 50 people live on Facebook. Till now, the petition has reached over sixty-eight thousand signatures.<\/p>\n

Felix Has Condemned The Shooter’s Actions In His Tweet – <\/strong><\/p>\n

Felix was quite upset after news came out about the misuse of his name. It has to be noted that due to the recent PewDiePie vs T series subscriber war, the phrase “Subscribe to PewDiePie” has become a viral internet meme.<\/p>\n
