Drawing cartoons is a hobby for many. There are some people who nurture a deep desire to draw cartoons and end up with something on the board. Whether they succeed or not, some of them do end up with poorly drawn comics that may become a laughing stock for others. It is not the message of the cartoon that makes people laugh. Rather, it is end of cartoon episodes that are so poorly drawn that evoke laughter. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reza <\/span><\/span>Farazmand<\/span><\/span>, a <\/span><\/span>San Francisco-based cartoonist<\/span><\/span>, is one such person. He <\/span><\/span>started <\/span><\/span>drawing and <\/span><\/span>posting comics online <\/span><\/span>while <\/span><\/span>he was <\/span><\/span>still <\/span><\/span>in\u00a0<\/span><\/span>high school<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>The USP of his cartoons was that they all had p<\/span><\/span>oorly drawn lines<\/span><\/span>. In fact, he did it purposely so as to evoke laughter. Later it became something unique to him. These <\/span><\/span>comics may<\/span><\/span> be poorly drawn, <\/span><\/span>but they are<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>no way <\/span><\/span>funny<\/span><\/span>. He has got over <\/span><\/span>800k <\/span><\/span>Facebook<\/span><\/span> likes <\/span><\/span>for his poorly drawn cartoons and his collection is <\/span><\/span>now one of the largest <\/span><\/span>webcomics<\/span><\/span> series on<\/span><\/span>\u00a0the Internet. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Though he <\/span><\/span>started drawing <\/span><\/span>those poor lines while <\/span><\/span>he was still in high school<\/span><\/span>, he endeavoured to draw them full time <\/span><\/span>in 2013\u00a0<\/span><\/span>while he was in college<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>The <\/span><\/span>first book <\/span><\/span>of his comics was named as <\/span><\/span>‘<\/span><\/span>Poorly Drawn Lines: Good Ideas and Amazing Stories<\/span><\/span>‘. It <\/span><\/span>was published in 2015<\/span><\/span>. Lo and behold, the publication <\/span><\/span>became New York Times Best Seller<\/span><\/span> for some time<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>He has got a whole compilation of his poorly drawn lines that evoke not just fun, but also thought. This is because thoug<\/span><\/span>h the lines may be poorly drawn, but they convey something dark. Most of the feelings expressed through the cartoons are taken from real life aspirations of people and then given a weird twist. There are some of his cartoons where he expresses deep anguish at the continuous battle that people and even animals have within themselves. All in all the unexpected ends in this comic strips is what makes them unique.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
