Scientific studies regularly come out with findings of things that matter in our life. Most of this information is useful in our daily lives while some others are incredible nuggets of information. Most of this information is based on statistics and it hints at a trend. Statistics can measure results and hint at trends, but not prove things. The outcome of a study may not be the same as participants expect them to be. There are variables like nationality, culture, sex, race, education, employment, etc which have a bearing on results of studies. Nevertheless, statistical measurement is prevalent and they reveal some of the most intriguing secrets of life.
In 2017 a study was conducted in Indonesia where about 8,000 people had participated. The study found that there is a correlation between the height of the husband and the happiness of the wife.
It was found that the more the difference in height between the husband and the wife, the more is the pleasure that the wife derives in married life.
However, it was also found that after about 18 years of marriage, this perceived happiness arising out of differences in height appeared to taper off.
This is not to say that it is just the height of the husband that keeps the wife happy.
There are other factors too and they are important ones. Stuff like earnings of the husband, his confidence and self-esteem also play significant roles.
The study also found that taller husbands might have a higher potential to earn and that can gratify their wives.
Employers too consider taller men as more capable and trustworthy than others.
Thus, there is a possibility that they would get promotions and salary enhancements more easily compared to shorter men.
Nevertheless, as a matter of fact, the resourcefulness of a person is the only consideration, especially when it comes to an ability to do something.
Yet, for wives, the height of their husbands does have an impression on their psyche.
